As an avid reader, and sometimes contributor, to the opinion page, I have to agree with the letter about Sid Schwab, “Try another topic now and again.” I understand he is a doctor, I’m not sure of what kind. Anyway, you would think of someone educated as a doctor to be intelligent, but yet he writes such trite columns. I even used to communicate with him, for a while, by email, until I found there was no way to understand where he was coming from. I found the best cure for his way of thinking was to not even read his column any more. I was happy when he retired from The Herald, then all of a sudden he is back. Maybe The Herald is having trouble finding left-wing writers to fill the editorial page. There is just no way to explain his writing. I will never read any of his columns again.
