Regarding the Nov. 13 article, “Harbor seal, four sea lions are found shot”: A wildlife protection agent feels it’s hypocritical that sport fishermen hate sea lions because they eat salmon, which is exactly what the sport fishermen themselves do. However, I’ve never seen a gang of 1,200-pound sport fishermen swimming around at the locks and fish ladders decimating entire Chinook salmon runs that conservationists and caring people work so hard on our streams and rivers to protect.
Aren’t salmon wildlife, an endangered species, and entitled to protection too?
