Once again we were enthralled by the recent Blue Angles show at Seafair.
For me, the Blue Angels brought back a particularly fond memory. Back home, some of the areas in our town were symmetrically laid out, with no trees or wires to obstruct the airspace in which an aircraft could turn around.
It was in such an area that a pilot took the time to wave hello to me, a young girl then, as I gazed out of my kitchen window. Not only did he give me a wonderful, treasured memory, but he made me feel that I was important, too.
So, I thank that pilot and all service people for caring not only for that young person, but for all of us who live in this free nation due to their efforts and sacrifices.
Thank you once again and God Bless America.
