I am a big supporter and user of Washington’s State Parks. And who wouldn’t want the Navy SEALS to be the best prepared as possible. Any elite corps needs elite training. (“Concerns arise as Navy SEALS given approval to train in Washington state parks,” NPR, Jan, 31) My suggestion is to grant permission, but with significant support given to our public parks for this privilege; and I expect big Defese Department budget kind of backing. Whidbey also offers the Navy the perfect location to exercise tactics to deal with radical fundamentalist insurgents. The Whidbey Island Grange would be a perfect mark for this type of training. Train well.
