Big banks are definitely putting a stick in the spokes of economic recovery. I have made my mortgage payments on time for 25 years and have 50 percent loan-to-value ratio. Band of America will not refinance me because I have been self-employed for 20 years.
I already owe them the exact amount I want to finance but half is fixed and half is variable. There is absolutely no more risk but they tell me to go get a job for two years and bring them a tax return. This country has always run on credit and now the banks have seized up and the country has quit running. I am thinking I need a new country more than a mortgage in this one.
