The House narrowly voted to give President Bush “trade promotion authority” (or fast track authority), then referred it to the Senate. Giving Bush trade promotion authority would empower him to complete negotiations for a Free Trade Area of the Americas – an end run around U.S. sovereignty, which is our right to rule ourselves. Bush thus would give away our jobs, industries and agricultural production to all of Latin America.
Already the European nations have lost a lot of sovereignty to the European Union, a developing regional government which is sapping the national authority of Germany, France, Great Britain and the other member states. It is the European model of the Free Trade Area of the Americas.
The globalists behind FTAA hijack entire nations as they steal sovereignty and destroy constitutions, usually under the excuse of free trade, debt relief and globalization – to be replaced by a one-world socialist-communist government. FTAA openly proposes economic, and then political, merger of the 34 countries of the Western Hemisphere.
The Northern American Free Trade Agreement has already been passed by Congress. NAFTA involves Canada, the U.S. and Mexico but was never about “free trade,” which by correct definition is a voluntary exchange between two parties, unhampered by government intervention or subsidies.
NAFTA/FTAA represent a radical, revolutionary assault on national sovereignty and constitutional government, whereby piece by piece our governmental functions are ripped from protections which were so carefully constructed by our country’s Founding Fathers. These powers are being transferred to unaccountable and unelected international bureaucracies that are not bound by our government’s protective checks and balances.
Let’s be forewarned how the EU was gradually imposed upon the people of Europe using deception, outright lies, bribery, extortion and corruption in order to achieve the objectives of the one worlders, who detest any constitutional limitations on their powers.
Hopefully, the Senate will defeat HR 3005 – the diabolical plan for us to surrender independence in the name of so-called free trade.
