Recently I have been involved with hospice in the state of Washington and now in the state of Florida. I would like to pass on to the seniors in the Everett area: if you are on Medicare or Medicaid, check out hospice. These wonderful people can help you have a better life.
In September, I was told I have terminal liver cancer. So, I moved to Florida to live with my daughter Marsha and her husband Richard Gregory. I have joined the Hospice Silver Team of Palm Beach County. By doing so, I can stay home and still have the same care as in our No. 1 hospitals, with the best doctors and nurses. They, including a minister of your choice, call on you once a week. All medicine is delivered to your door at no cost to you. All equipment is furnished also at no charge. You never have to leave your home and it is a lot cheaper than hospitals or nursing homes.
So please, when making a charitable donation, make one to your hospice team of Snohomish County. Because I lived and worked in Everett, married an Everett girl (Frances), raised two good kids, Marsha and Joe, who attended Jackson Elementary School, South Junior High School and Everett High School, just maybe this will help someone to live a little better life. So check the hospice teams out. I cannot say enough good things about the wonderful people of hospice in Washington and Florida.
