I have not read an article written by Julie Muhlstein since she referred to those who supported the car tabs initiative as having less than average intelligence. But the article about “Wal-Mart” in Aug. 21 edition caught my eye and I read the article. Like Julie, I do not shop at Wal-Mart because I can afford not to. Unlike Julie, I firmly believe that all who get a decent wage and health care should exercise an effort to steer shoppers toward a Wal-Mart competitor who provides the same.
Although I disagreed with Julie’s position, I felt the article was well written and provided room for readers to align themselves with either side of a sensitive issue. It is time for me to end my boycott of a well-written column.
