Service personnel using food stamps

During this time of year, it is important to remember and to think about those who serve in the military and are in danger, for us, right now. It is about time they were paid for what they are expected to do. When I was active, a good meal was a pizza.

I could not afford to eat while away from my duty station or to even do something as simple as go to the movies. I could not see Star Wars when it was released in 1977. It was years later when I did, after I had served almost six years. It is true that a great many active personnel are on food stamps – this is ridiculous. It’s about time they had a life, too.
