Shameful if we don’t pay military

So our “Navy sailors likely will have to work without pay” and “it is unclear if disabled veterans will receive checks” if the government shuts down; I could not believe what I was reading!

The very idea that the men and women who protect this country and those who are now disabled after fighting for the freedoms we enjoy could be denied anything is outrageous! The article does not say if politicians, including the president, will continue to receive paychecks, but if even one does, while these heros do not, I find it completely reprehensible.

Between now and the end of the month, my husband and I have to pay just under $5,000 in taxes to a government whose out-of-control spending and gotten us into this mess in the first place. I would far rather give it to disabled American veterans.
