The Herald recently printed a letter critical of columnist Sid Schwab. That is a credit to the media, but not for what it says about the letter writer; he has very little in common with Sid.
That being said, I call to attention facts, which the radical right seems to care little about. They never documented accusations. Their presuppositions are easily understood but fail to disclose proof. Schwab, on the other hand, often documents his sources. Further, in spite of the right to free speech, critics object to his. Any intelligent human being, Vietnam veteran or not, knows right from wrong, truth from lie, evil from good. However, many chose for emotional reasons and angst, to endorse, even aid and abet political skulduggery, myths and absolute distortion of truth, and refuse to be held accountable for past misbehavior.
Beware of folks who define evil as good, lies as facts, snake oil for good science, preferring disease over vaccination, cavities over fluoridation, and myths of dangerous vaccinations in favor of pandemic deaths. Before you pick nits from Schwab’s eyes, be sure you remove the planks from your own.
