Why do you continue to run such sloppy and ill-informed articles by Sid Schwab? He rambles incoherently, while spouting his nonsensical opinions vs. fact-based statements.
In his Aug. 11 column, he questions how God could have given us both Trump and Obama. He begins his opinion piece with a theological fallacy. God did not choose Trump and Obama; the American public elected them of our own free will.
God does not dictate our earthly decisions. He allows us to choose. For centuries, Christian theologians have divided God’s will into two basic categories: His perfect will and His permissive will. God’s perfect will means that people choose what He wants; with His permissive will, God permits people to do things He would not want them to do. God did not choose Trump or Obama, anymore than He chooses who wins Seahawks games.
Schwab accuses Trump of lying about everything. I consider this nothing less than slander. I wholeheartedly disagree with him. Trump has often expressed his genuine desire to help the American people, and he has done so in many ways.
Obama was a consummate rhetorician. He evaded a great deal of criticism because he spoke with no substance. No wonder Schwab likes him so much.
