On Aug. 20 I attended the W.C. Fields silent movie “Sally of the Sawdust,” accompanied by Dennis James, playing that wonderful Wurlitzer pipe organ. The beautiful Historic Theater, restored by volunteers, is the most wonderful thing that ever happened to Everett. I intend to go to the whole series.
Because of street closures on Colby, I observed the sign, and parked farther away and did not want to walk alone after the show to my car.
A young flagger working at the intersection of Hewitt and Colby said he would walk me to the car. He watched for me and had a female flagger walk me to the car. I certainly appreciated it. I’d like to publicly thank them both. So slow down for the flaggers. They believe in safety for pedestrians as well.
