In the interest of fairness, I am putting my own politics aside.
In this growing era of career politicians like Maria Cantwell, Howard Dean, Dennis Hastert, and Bill Frist, it seems that people refuse to show statesmanship. That is a sad thing. Without statesmanship we will continue down this divided highway and will never heal as a country and will never return to the core values that made us great in other points in history.
What we need to do, as a country, is vote out the old guard and replace them with people who know what it means to put this country first. To do this and be successful, we need to rise up as a country, pull together, and create a third party – a party for the people. One where our candidates will be people who will not think from election to election, but rather 20 to 30 years down the road.
I am now asking Washingtonians to put aside Democratic, Republican, liberal, or conservative bickering and come together. Seek out a common ground and support the creation of a viable third party. A party in which our candidates will step aside after, say three terms, and support someone to come in and take over. While they are in office, they are to work toward the future of our nation as a whole, not just the future of their careers.
If you agree, don’t agree, or just want to share your views, I am asking you to share your thoughts on this. Just be respectful.
