I would like to comment on the May 9 headlines, “Stench irks neighbors.” The second top tier front page headline that same day reads “Reardon mum on request to resign.”
I submit to my fellow Snohomish County Residents that the true stench lies within the County Executive’s office, affecting the whole of Snohomish county and beyond with the rancid smell of arrogance, greed and likely corruption. This “stench” pervades our entire county and is a smell that just keeps getting worse. There are so many contributors to the stench in the executive’s office, it’s not even funny. These rotten eggs get paid exorbitant amounts of money to run our county, in theory with integrity, honesty and character. When they screw up (lies, affairs, porn, sexual assault, defamation, etc.) they are put on “paid” administrative leave for weeks on end (paid vacation) while our system sorts through the “trash” to see if they can locate the cause of the “stench.” How this administration can be allowed to continue is beyond the scope of my imagination. Friends, I think it’s high time someone emptied the trash!
