In response to the marketing materials we received in today’s mail regarding Sno-Isle Libraries’ levy request on the April 24 ballot, why has the most important math not been shown?
Since 98 percent of the funding comes from property taxes, including apartment rentals; since the number of residences has ballooned significantly in recent years; and since the property values (and related property tax revenue) have risen significantly; why have we not seen the projected revenue for the libraries, which has also likely mushroomed?
Yet another levy will further increase what individuals pay. Even young school children learn that it is important to show the work that got them to the answer to their math problem. Taxpayers deserve no less from Sno-Isle.
