Karen Guzak is the only choice for mayor of Snohomish, and here are some reasons why.
As has been widely documented, Karen has been involved in many projects for the benefit of Snohomish, including the Centennial Trail, housing affordability, city street improvements and maintenance, and the acquisition and development of property for the new boat ramp, to name a few.
As important as these projects are, the most important issue is experience in leadership, a trait sorely lacking in her opponent’s portfolio.
Karen has served on the Snohomish City Council for nine years, first as a council member, then as the (weak) mayor, a position to which she was elected by her fellow council members. In this position, Karen has had to interact with the council, the Snohomish city staff, fellow mayors from surrounding cities, and members of the Snohomish County Council.
Karen has worked closely with and received endorsements from Gov. Jay Inslee, U.S. Reps. Suzan DelBene and Rick Larsen, state Sen. Steve Hobbs, state Rep. John Lovick, and Snohomish County Executive Dave Somers.
The above-mentioned experience would, under any circumstances, point to Karen as the best choice for city of Snohomish mayor. This is especially true in light of the impending transition from the weak mayor to the strong mayor system of government. Karen is the one, and the only, candidate who is prepared to guide the citizens of Snohomish through this transition.
Please join me in voting for Karen Guzak this Election Day!
