When I was asked to be the volunteer coordinator of the Snohomish Kid’s Café (free summer breakfast and lunch program), my biggest fear was that I would have to recruit people to help with the program. Much to my delight and surprise, I had more people offer to help than I had places to put them.
I want to thank the people of Snohomish for their generosity. Service groups, families, students, school district personnel, church groups and individuals all joined in to help make this program successful. I hope the people of Snohomish realize what a giving community they live in. Thank you to all who have helped. It has been a joy to be a part of this program!
