Plenty of proof in today’s news that you can run, but you can’t hide.
Need a lift? Mountlake Terrace police arrested a man who they allege stole a construction lift and was attempting to escape at a top speed of 2 mph. A police report said the man took the piece of construction equipment on a dare he read on Craigslist.
His alibi faltered, however, when police learned it was not a double-dog dare, which is protected under the Constitution.
The Defiant Ones II: The Outtakes: Two New Zealand prisoners, handcuffed together, foiled their own escape when they ran to opposite sides of a light pole, slammed into each other and fell to the ground.
They nearly escaped a second time when police were left writhing on the ground helplessly convulsed with laughter.
So long, Blago: The Illinois Senate voted to impeach and remove from office Gov. Rod Blagojevich, D-Ryhmes With Make-Me-Rich, following allegations that he tried to sell the appointment to a U.S. Senate seat.
Blagojevich has maintained his innocence, claiming he sought the bribes on a double-dog dare he read on Craigslist.
