A state income tax is a bad idea. Two-thirds of my property tax burden goes to schools in a never-ending flush and they ask for more and more.
No tax, once in place, will ever be repealed without wailing and gnashing of teeth by the politicos. We have a cash cow seat belt law, absurdly Draconian DUI law and sin taxes on many items.
When do we get CO2 expulsion monitors put on us so we get taxed for fouling the air when we exhale?
