Every year, around the end of May, Fort Lewis sponsors the Special Olympics Washington.
In all the years my family has attended these meets, only once has The Herald published any articles about it. And that was in the Local section. Shame on The Herald for not supporting their local Special Olympians.
Maybe next year someone from the paper will write something and put it in the Sports section, where it belongs.
