With the mid-term elections now history and with our Republic in financial distress, the president feels the need to take a three-day visit to India.
Accompanying him will be a cast of thousands, including high-level American corporate leaders. The American taxpayer has no idea as to the true cost of this presidential visit, but it will be shocking.
In addition to the 800 rooms set aside for his entourage at the Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai he will be protected by 34 American warships, including an aircraft carrier.
Such massive spending at this crucial time is totally unjustified.
