I have heard and read many negative comments regarding U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich being a carpetbagger for considering moving from Ohio to Washington state so that he can hopefully get elected in a liberal area. How ironic that he seems to want to fill the gap of Jay Inslee should he decide to run for governor of the state.
Quite a few years ago Jay was defeated in the Yakima area due to his liberal views. So he moved over the mountains to a liberal area and got re-elected to office. Isn’t this also a carpetbagger move? So why is it not appropriate to replace one carpetbagger with another?
