Regarding two Sunday letters concerning religious freedom laws: In one, the writer states the law “is simply allowing someone who has their own business the right to serve those they want to.” That is the very definition of discrimination.
And the question from another writer, “Where is the ACLU in all this?” regarding the florist who was fined; her First Amendment rights were not violated.
What was violated was our state’s anti-discrimination law.
