State, local officials just keep taking

What happened to our $30 car tabs? Mine are $80 now and will probably go up with the possible $20 increase this year. Property taxes are next, due to the “unconstitutional” I-747. They have increased approximately 45 percent from the 2006 assessment. They just assess the property higher. Mine is now higher than I can put it on the market for. It is truly parasitic.

Our current Democrat-controlled socialist state needs this additional tax. They simply need to take more and more. They also can, because it’s about big government, more bureaucracy and tolerated waste (let’s pay someone to do a “feasibility” study). That is what they do (the absurd attempt of SB 6900, which would have taxed vehicles according to their horsepower). To be fair, it’s not because they are too ignorant to find ways to fund policies without more taxes, it’s because they don’t care, it’s about their ideology.

By overriding, dismissing and finding unconstitutionality in laws the people vote in, their agenda is supported, and frankly it feels communistic. We can have our say as long as they agree with it. When they don’t, they file a lawsuit in court to block it, knowing that liberal judges will support them.

So, it must just be me. It’s apparently how we want to be governed (controlled), because we keep putting them in office. Is it any wonder we’re one of the highest taxed states in the union?

There are those who don’t appreciate Tim Eyman, mostly politicians for reasons stated above. I appreciate him doing what our politicians should be doing, looking out for the best interest of the people without more and undue burden. It’s not that I’m down on Democrats, I’m down on how most of them operate. This is the perfect opportunity to see just what we’re in for when the Democrats take over the White House next year.
