When asked to explain the effects of his latest initiative, Tim Eyman couldn’t answer. When asked whether he is taking a salary on this one, he wouldn’t answer. If asked for his credentials in public finance, he shouldn’t answer.
When is the public going to finally realize that Mr. Eyman cares little and knows little about the topics of his initiatives. The initiative process is simply a serendipitous money-machine he discovered and has exploited in expert fashion. To think that he gives one hoot about the people he purports to represent only showcases his cunning.
Quite frankly, to pay someone who is committed to a principle and advances it in an ethical, truthful manner concerns me not. This is not Mr. Eyman, who will continue to crank out initiatives no matter who gets hurt, as long as it produces the dollars and the lifestyle to which he has become accustomed. Washington voters have created a monster and have yet to suffer the inevitable consequences.
