Station quiet about debit card cost

I was taken for a monetary loop a day ago when I used my debit card at an AM/PM gas station and discovered that they now charge 10 cents to use it. When AM/PM removed the 45-cent charge there was great fanfare; however, this change in fees only came as a switch of the “debit” sign from the cash price pay off their sign to the credit price part of their sign. Seems a little sneaky to me.
