Dear Everett,
Your city gives me a pain in the back. As I walked your rain-filled sidewalks recently while visiting your city, I stepped on a large steel plate imbedded in the sidewalk. I quickly discovered how slippery it was as my feet flew out from under me and I went down. I still have acute pain in my lower back from the fall. How reckless of your city officials to allow such slippery metal plates to be located throughout your city sidewalks. Apply an abrasive to the surface, put diamond plate over them or whatever it takes to fix the problem.
