This is just a friendly reminder to help the people in our area who are having a hard time making ends meet. With the slowdown in the economy and big increase in layoffs, some people are facing financial hardships.
Please sort through your closets for warm clothing, blankets and shoes. Also, checks of any amount would help greatly for other needs, such as food and shelter.
Donations can be sent to the Salvation Army on Rucker Avenue, St. Vincent De Paul on Broadway, Everett Gospel Mission on Smith Street, or to any agency that will distribute the donated items.
Now is the time to step up and show your love and concern and to be a part of a large helping hand to those in need. You’ll be glad that you did.
