Still spewing

America’s saddest home videos: One of the most-watched videos on the Internet now is the live feed from the source of the Gulf oil spill that shows a torrent of crude oil, natural gas and mud pouring from damaged drilling equipment as BP tries to stem the catastrophic leak.

The second-most-watched videos show a torrent of crude language, natural anger and tears pouring from rightly outraged Gulf Coast residents.

  • Could have had first class all to herself: A Michigan woman is suing United Airlines after she fell asleep on a flight to Philadelphia and awoke three hours after the plane landed to find herself alone and locked inside.

To be fair to the flight crew, they didn’t see the woman sleeping in the middle of all the rumpled blankets, tossed newspapers, drink cups, empty pretzel bags and in-flight magazines left behind by fellow passengers.

  • Share-the-road rash: Arguing that Vancouver, Wash., “is not Portland,” an assistant city attorney asked a jury to convict a 43-year-old man of indecent exposure because he was riding his bicycle in the nude.

Vancouver obviously is no Portland. Portland’s nude cyclists at least wear a fanny pack to carry their energy bars.
