I attended the recent kick-off event for Brenda Stonecipher at the Monte Cristo Hotel and I was very impressed with what I saw and heard. The room was packed full with people spilling out into the lobby as Brenda delivered a meaningful speech that identified our city’s challenges and, more importantly, offered solutions and ideas that require forward thinking and a “take action” style of leadership.
I believe that our city has reached an important crossroads. We are on the cusp of becoming something even greater than we are. However, the depressed economy and the uncertainty of Boeing’s future in Everett loom large. We need the skills and enthusiasm of Brenda Stonecipher to re-energize the city council and to help Everett rise to the next level. It’s time for the current leaders of this great city to pass the baton to the next generation.
Brenda’s experience as a CPA, an executive director, a member of the planning commission, and as a board member of numerous organizations in our community has provided her with the fiscal responsibility and the knowledge of our city that an effective council member needs. Brenda Stonecipher is passionate about Everett and its future. I believe she would be an invaluable addition to our city council and Everett is fortunate to have Brenda on its team.
