When is all this self pity for slavery of African Americans to expire? This wasted energy should be applied to education and employment.
Most of our accused ancestors, including mine, had entered the United States through Ellis Island from Europe years after President Lincoln’s death. These ancestors never had slave labor, but bartered with their last of a few prized possessions for survival foods with American Indians – otherwise many of us wouldn’t be here today. But now we are constantly accused of having had slave labor and harassed for reparations to give to whom? Exhumed slave bones? Certainly not to those presently living who have never been slaves.
