Like most Americans, I was horrified to read of the humiliations of Iraqi prisoners at the hands of our military. I was more horrified, however, that pictures of these humiliations were published in The Herald.
Since we are told that the types of punishment meted out were the most humiliating that Iraqi men could suffer, isn’t the humiliation multiplied a thousand times when we publish pictures that identify the men? Please, we get it from the descriptions. In this case a picture is not worth a thousand words.
