Americans have become a bunch of short-sighted idiots. They buy Chinese-made junk and then wonder why American factories (and jobs) are gone. They make poor investment decisions, based on greed, rather than good sense. They amass debt that they can’t begin to repay. And then they expect the government to make it all better. The only thing that the government has proven it can do consistently is make matters worse while spending lots of money. Whatever happened to good old American values, work ethic and common sense?
And now the Machinists union is on strike at Boeing. Don’t these fools have any idea that they could cripple one of the only bright spots in this country? Boeing is crucial to the security and well-being of this nation. It provides jobs to thousands. It is one of the few companies that actually exports products and helps balance our trade deficit. In their myopic view, this is probably the best time to strike, but if they actually gave a damn about this country they would have to admit that it is a terrible time to commit such an act. Worst case scenario, they could ruin Boeing, and wouldn’t have anyone to blame but themselves. But, of course, they would blame everyone else. And they would play the victim. And they would expect the government to make it all better.
