In the Friday article about the Lake Stevens school teachers taking a strike authorization vote, the old saw that no one wins in a strike was brought out again and nothing can be further from the truth. But district administrators, managers always trot this one out.
The workers in this — teachers — can win in a strike if they should have to go out on strike and the children can win as well when the issue involves class size and not just economic issues, though those are important also.
It needs to be out there that should workers have to go on strike, I support their right to do so that they can win.
