In response to the Jan. 24 letter, “Keep al-Qaida in perspective.”
I have no idea how old the writer is. The writer’s ignorance of World War II amazes me. Was he a young man when we were attacked by Japan and Hitler declared war against us? Well, I was. If not, didn’t he study history in school?
Wake up and smell the coffee.
Neville Chamberlain of England showed a piece of paper signed by Hitler and stated, “I believe it is peace for our time.”
Example of appeasement:
* Over one hundred million killed.
* Millions starved and homeless.
Who saved them?
As Archie Bunker would say, “case closed.”
P.S.: The public, the press and the courts should recognize this truth.
