Regarding the Tuesday article, “A gift of life”:
I thought I knew Bill France, but what I didn’t know was just how far his giving extended. He has appeared in my courtroom numerous times, advocating and supporting the feelings of victims of crimes. In this capacity, I know Bill to be a caring and supporting person. To donate one’s kidney to another, whether that person is known or unknown to him, is a true display of a loving and life-saving act. This selfless gift reaffirms the inherent goodness of human beings.
