While politics in general is not something I devote much of my time too, the election for the mayor of Everett is one that must be given more attention than the average. To be perfectly blunt, Everett is a city that needs help yesterday. Current city administration has been asleep at the wheel when it comes to maintaining city conditions, let alone improving them. The big issues affecting us, such as homelessness, rampant drug use, public safety staffing and citizen equality, have a chance for attention with only one candidate.
My vote will be with Brian Sullivan. Brian is a man that has lived in the county almost his entire life. That benefits the citizens of Everett in many ways, the biggest being, in my opinion, that he is able to see what Everett is now compared to what it once was. Brian Sullivan can see the shortcomings we now experience daily because he’s been here long enough to remember an Everett you could be proud of.
Brian Sullivan grew up here, raised by parents that knew and lived the value of public service, and Brian was watching. Virtually every labor group in Snohomish County endorses Brian. From Boeing machinists and public safety labor to bus drivers and carpenters, all groups see in Brian the leader that Everett so desperately deserves. The reason for that is that Brian is an honest trustworthy candidate that cares about the people he serves. Brian Sullivan is a political veteran, well regarded by those that have served both with him and beside him.
I implore you to go with the candidate that knows how to lead, how to listen and how to deliver. Everett is a city that deserves the resurrection that only Brian Sullivan will be able to deliver.
