I was dismayed to come across such blatant deviousness on the part of Joe Marine, candidate for state representative in the 21st District.
Mr. Marine, by releasing a pamphlet entitled “Our Choice,” is misrepresenting himself in an attempt to gain votes. His anti-choice views are clearly displayed on his web site, yet his pamphlet shows a pro-choice woman claiming that she knows Mr. Marine will protect a woman’s right to choose. This doublespeak is offensive and trivializes the fundamental right of women to make decisions about their reproductive health.
Brian Sullivan, Marine’s opponent in the election, is not a man of contradictions. Endorsed by the Washington NARAL, he is the real pro-choice candidate. In addition to Sullivan’s strong stance on woman’s right to choose, he is clear and honest about his position. Vote Brian Sullivan on Nov. 6.
