We in the 21st Legislative District have the opportunity to end the gridlock in Olympia this year and finally get a transportation package through the Legislature.
For three years now, we’ve had a 49-49 tie in the state House of Representatives. The tie has made it virtually impossible to get legislation through the House. As the transportation crisis in our region grows, Republican leaders in the House do nothing. In fact, this year the Republican co-speaker of the House refused to even allow a vote on the comprehensive transportation package put forward by Gov. Gary Locke and the Democratic leadership.
If we don’t end the tie this year, we’ll get more of the same: continued gridlock in our state Capitol and on our roads, with no end in sight.
A former mayor of Mukilteo, Brian Sullivan is a proven leader with a record of accomplishment. Brian knows our district’s issues well and will provide remarkable representation for us in Olympia. And he’ll provide that crucial 50th vote that will allow our state of finally get to work on solving this traffic nightmare.
Vote to get Washington moving again – vote Brian Sullivan for state House in November!
