Citizens of Snohomish County, it is important that we vote to retain Judge Whitney Rivera.
Early in her law career Whitney served 14 years with the Snohomish County Public Defender Association. There she gained her court experience handling all variety of criminal cases. She was an effective advocate for her clients and maintained a high level of respect from the judges and prosecutors with whom she worked. Within the defender office Whitney became a resource for the other lawyers and served as a supervisor when needed.
Her judicial career began as the elected judge for the Edmonds Municipal Court where she served for three years until appointed by Gov. Jay Inslee to serve in her current roll as Superior Court Judge.
Whitney Rivera is intelligent and a resourceful thinker. She cares about the people who appear before her and is intent on seeing to it that justice is served. A vote for her is the right thing to do.
