Regarding Jerry Cornfield’s Jan. 19 report (“Judge says AG can add allegations to suit against Eyman”) Tim Eyman has been a thorn in the state’s side for a number of years, and he lost. Why? Because one can’t fight City Hall (or in this case, the state) and win.
In his fight for $30 car tabs, Eyman sided with the common man. We all need cars, so in a way the car registration fees are a form of a head tax. Raising those fees affects the lower income residents to a disproportionate degree.
At this point the best way to show Eyman our support is by voting yes for Initiative 976 in November.
Also the only disappointing part in Cornfield’s report was his quoting Andrew Villeneuve. We all know that Villeneuve is an arch-enemy of Tim Eyman, so why give him an opportunity to moralize. We are not interested in his progressive propaganda
