Support troops by supporting mission

Many Democrats buy into the party’s hate and smear tactics used to motivate their base. They want the president to fail and they want the U.S. to fail in the Iraq war. They want the U.S. military to be defeated.

They compare our military to the cruel regimes of the Nazis, Stalinist Russia and Pol Pot. By doing so, they play into the hands of the Islamic terrorists who use the rhetoric of Demo leaders such as Sens. Dick Durbin and Ted Kennedy to inflame the Arab world, thereby making victory more difficult for our troops.

They complain that the world is becoming more anti-American, yet provide those who would tear us down with ready-made propaganda.

Don’t buy the Demos argument that they “support the troops in Iraq but don’t support the mission.” If you don’t support the mission then you want it to fail. If we fail in the mission then it follows that our troops will be defeated and humiliated; their sacrifice in vain. This is a price the leftists are willing to pay to regain power; putting their burning desire for control above the good of our nation.

The major difference in the tactics used by the left to undermine our resolve in the Vietnam War and today is that they now give the “illusion” that they support our troops and are patriotic. They employ an illusion strategy by stating something that sounds good and is more palatable to the American people rather than saying what they really stand for. They use the same tactic to oppose the domestic agenda of the Republicans and the administration.

The liberal Democrats’ goals are the same as they were in the ’60s. To liberalize our culture, usurp our traditions, further socialize America and surrender our sovereignty to the U.N. and other world institutions.
