It is time to say thank you to our community. Jim and I have felt overwhelmed at your generosity, which has come to us in many forms: prayer, time, effort, caring, support, and monetary donations.
When Jim was first diagnosed with lymphoma, we knew our lives would change. There were days of tears of sadness over our circumstances and tears of joy over miracles. Never did it occur to us that the change could be a positive one! Life took on a new perspective. Hurdles had to be overcome; friends, fellow teachers, students, neighbors and community members whom we had never met came to our rescue. They lifted the burden from our shoulders, so that Jim and I could concentrate on regaining Jim’s health.
The teachers, parents, and students at Harbour Pointe Middle School are a loving, supportive force beyond imagination. I am so proud to be affiliated with such a positive group of people. Thank you for all you’ve done.
A great thank you to all the businesses who donated services and items to Jim’s auction/concert. It was a roaring success. Your generosity warmed our hearts. We now look at our community in a new light.
How can Jim and I ever begin to thank this community? We don’t know how. You have alleviated a tremendous financial burden. We have gained a sense of belonging to a truly supportive community. We sincerely thank you. May you know God’s blessings, too.
