I routinely make the 1-mile trip between my North Everett home and the QFC on Broadway. I have to go through seven traffic lights, and have to stop for at least five of them, most of them one block apart. This is true of many of Everett’s thoroughfares.
I can’t understand why Everett doesn’t synchronize its traffic lights. When I-5 has a major traffic tie up, Evergreen Way has half-mile backups due to the red lights. This is a huge waste of time and gas. This also contributes to air pollution. Shouldn’t the cost and effort to synchronize our traffic lights be a higher priority for the city of Everett?
