Carpool under trestle?
Snohomish County has $131 million in new transportation money! (Herald, Dec, 31)
$27 million for new concrete barrier?
$3.6 million for rumble strips?
I do not want a carpool lane under the trestle. It only moves the bottleneck to the proposed Homeacres on-ramp. Remember when the State Patrol had to sit under the trestle to stop speeding drivers who would use this road for a shortcut? I would like to see the County Council use the money in a partnership with the state to alleviate the U.S. 2 and I-5 issues. Don’t debate over who should spend the money, both problems are in Snohomish County and we have the means to accomplished this.
