If you are employed, you probably have to rely on the regular news media for information on the recent illegal immigration and border security reform legislation taking place in Congress the past few weeks. The regular news media is doing an extremely poor job of informing us truthfully, accurately and completely on this issue. If you aren’t employed or attending school, you can listen to senators, representatives and different committees speeches and discussions on the current issue on C-Span and C-Span II and make up your own mind.
Within the next two weeks, each of you should contact your senators and representatives to let them know how you feel and believe they should vote on illegal immigration and border security reform. It will take some research and time, but Congress needs to know how Americans really feel about this legislation from other methods than just the marches taking place and pressure from special interest groups. So, please contact them to let them know what you believe is the best policy for our country.
