Regarding the letter, “Majority support common sense”: Unfortunately, the vast majority of these “common sense” gun laws professed by the writer and others who ultimately want guns removed from civilian hands have nothing to do with common sense. Having a law to just “make it so” will not make the criminals comply. Remember — when seconds count, the police are just minutes away. After all, isn’t it already against the law to set off IEDs on a crowded street? We saw how well that one worked, didn’t we?
