I found it very interesting reading about what people were saying about the high gas prices and whether or not it was cheaper to take the bus or train rather than driving to work.
Your article said that it costs $6 for a round trip ticket to ride the Sounder train and $8.33 in a car. I didn’t read anywhere in the article that the actual cost for a round trip on the Sounder train for each passenger is about $76.
True, the rider only pays $6 for the trip, but the taxpayers pick up the additional $70 for each passenger’s round trip.
Your headline makes it sound like it’s cheaper to ride the train than drive when in reality it costs almost 10 times more to ride the train.
