TB case illustrates need for two bills

Who would have thought that the warning in Meghan McCourt’s May 6 guest commentary, “Who should be responsible for the world’s health?” would so soon be reflected in the news – “Man with dangerous TB in quarantine” – in Wednesday’s Herald?

Congress needs to take this warning seriously and pass both TB control bills – HR 1532 for domestic TB control and HR 1567 for global TB control.
